Cell Salts (also known as biochemic tissue salts or Schüssler cell salts) are the basic building blocks of cells and fundamentally important for cellular structure. The various cells of the human body (bone, muscle, skin, etc) all contain different levels of specific Cell Salts.

According to Cell Salt theory, good health can be restored by balancing proper quantities of Cell Salts in the cells. The first system of treatment with Cell Salts was introduced by Moleschott and Schüssler (hence the term 'Schüssler cell salts').
