Cell Salts / Tissue Salts
Cell Salts, also known as biochemic tissue salts or Schüssler cell salts, are fundamentally important for cellular structure, serving as basic cell building blocks. The various cells of the human body (bone, muscle, skin, etc.) all contain different levels of specific Cell Salts and - according to Cell Salt theory - good health can be restored and maintained through the proper balancing of Cell Salt quantities in the cells. The first system of Cell Salt treatment was introduced by Moleschott and Schüssler (hence the term 'Schüssler cell salts').

Cell Salts, available in tablet form, are generally taken by slowly dissolving the tablet on the tongue without water. Depending on the affliction and on the advice of the homeopathic practitioner, cell salt tablets may be taken 4 at a time and at repeated intervals during the day. If more than one type of cell salt is being taken, it is usually advised to not take the different salts at the exact same time, but to alternate between them during the day.

So what do Cell Salts have in common with Homeopathy?
Like homeopathic products, Cell Salts are also offered in potentized forms. However, unlike homeopathic products, the potency of Cell Salts is usually set at exactly 6x (that is, the Cell Salt was diluted 6 times using a 1:10 scale).
